Great news! There are lots of ways to get involved with the CYBILS Awards!
READERS & REVIEWERS
Our awards cycle officially begins in August with a Call for Judges. Learn all about being a judge here.
And if that isn’t exciting enough, on October 1, anyone and everyone can nominate books for kids and teens that they think are award-worthy. Everything you need is here, but the three things you need to know are:
- To be eligible, books must be published between 10/16 of last year and 10/15 of this year.
- Readers have to be able to get those books. They must be publicly available.
- There is a separate period for authors and publishers to submit their titles.
LITERACY SUPPORTERS
The CYBILS Awards is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We run on volunteer power, but we are a business. If you aren’t able to be a judge, you can support us with donations, buy some advertising space, and show off your love of the CYBILS with some swag.
… AND THERE’S MORE
Word of mouth and direct outreach are the two, most effective ways to introduce the CYBILS Awards to anyone passionate about connecting kids and teens with books that are positive and inclusive.
- Follow us on social media, comment on and amplify our posts.
- Share your love of everything CYBILS in your network: listservs, emails, agenda items on your next work meeting (okay, it was worth a shot).
We can even help you make it visual! Grab some logo graphics to use on YOUR social.
