Looking for a book recommendation?

The Public Nomination period is in full swing, and you have nominated some truly amazing-looking books. The judges are clearly going to have some tough choices. Good job, y’all!

As a reader, I usually read a few well-loved categories throughout the year. So when nomination time rolls around, I need guidance for categories I don’t regularly read [like Graphic Novels and Elementary Nonfiction]. My first stop is the Idea Boards, which, this year is hosted on Goodreads. This is where you will find the books that our category chairs, judges, and readers would like to see nominated for the 2023 CYBILS Awards.

As of this post, about 120 of the 420 books on that shelf have been nominated. Which means there are still a lot of books that our judges and chairs want to read, discuss, and consider over the next 3 months. If you haven’t yet nominated a title – or, like me want a recommendation on what to nominate – these lists are a great resource.
