It’s summertime, and summer vacation usually means traveling. Road trips, trips to relatives, visiting family and friends and places. This summer travel will probably involve long airline delays and canceled flights (though it seems everyone I know is spending the summer in Europe…). My preferred way to travel is the road trip; it’s just a lot more laid-back than flying, and event though you can’t go quite as far, you can actually see the country as you go. So, if you’re one of the people who are playing it safe and not traveling this summer, here are some great middle-grade road trip books to help you feel like you are!
