The Round One panelists are in the last stages of creating the short-lists for each of the Cybils categories. While they are hard at work, we thought it would be fun to get YOUR guess on what those finalist lists will look like!
So we’re hosting a #CybilsShortlist contest!
The Contest: Predict the Finalists List for a single category.
Grand Prize: Gift card for $20 to Book Depository
First Prize: Cybils Tote

GUIDELINES/RULES
- Everyone is welcome to participate.
- Round 1 panelists can enter a shortlist for a category they are not judging in.
- One entry shortlist per person. You can create as many shortlists as you like, but only one list per post. Your FIRST shortlist will be entered (based on date/time stamp) as your official entry
- Use any medium to create your list – images, blog, Goodreads, Instagram, YouTube, etc. – and be sure to post a link to your list on
Twitter. - Only lists posted via Twitter will be entered into the contest.
- Entry must be posted to Twitter AND include #CybilsShortlist hashtag.
- Winners will be notified by DM, so if you aren’t already, please follow @CybilsAwards on Twitter.
SOME FINE PRINT
Entries are cataloged by the date/time they are posted on Twitter. All times will be converted to ET for entry purposes.
Each shortlist must be in a separate post so that we can identify and enter your first list as the official one. For example, if you create a blog post with lists from multiple categories, the one you want entered in the contest must be a separate, stand-alone post.
The entry shortlist must match or be closest to the official list which is published on January 1, 2019. Shortlists can be 5 to 7 books, so part of the contest is guessing how many books the panel will put on its shortlist.
In the event no one names all the titles on a given category’s shortlist, the prize will be awarded to the entrant who names the most correct list. In the event of a tie, the entrant whose submission was received first will win.
