We are now accepting submissions from publishers, authors, and publicists. This is your chance to let us know about good books that were missed during the public nomination period. You may submit up to 10% of your eligible children’s and YA books published between October 16, 2015 and October 15, 2016. (The publicly nominated books don’t count against the 10%.) If you have fewer than 10 books during the eligibility period, you may submit one title.
In selecting which books to submit, please keep in mind that our primary criteria are literary merit and kid/teen appeal. We are looking for those books which best embody both attributes: books that are well-written and that kids will love. If a book was already nominated during our public nomination period, you don’t need to submit it in the spreadsheet. You can see the books nominated at the following links:
- Audiobooks
- Easy Readers and Early Chapter Books
- Elementary/Middle-Grade Speculative Fiction
- Fiction Picture Books/Board Books
- Graphic Novels
- Middle-Grade Fiction
- Middle-Grade/Young Adult Nonfiction

Publisher/author submissions are done by submitting a spreadsheet with information about the books you wish to submit. Please first read our Publisher/Author Information. You can find the spreadsheet in the submission instructions.
There is no entry fee, but you are expected to provide review copies for the judges (print or digital) of the books you submit. Information about review copies needed and addresses of the judges will be set to you around the end of October, with review copies due no later than December 1.
If you have any questions, please contact the Publisher Liaison, Sheila Ruth, at publishers (at) cybils (dot) com.
