Publishers, authors, publicists, and others connected with a book have until this Sunday, October 25, to submit titles for consideration by the judges for the 2015 Cybils Awards. You may submit up to 10% (rounded) of the children’s/YA books you published during our eligibility year of October 16, 2014 to October 15, 2015. If you published fewer than 10 titles, you may still submit one book.
This is your chance to fill in the gaps and make sure we’re looking at books we should be considering! There were many excellent books nominated by the public during our public nomination period, but there are some books that I’m surprised weren’t nominated. We also love to hear about undiscovered gems. Please help us to be able to consider your best titles; if they weren’t nominated by the public and if you don’t submit them, then we can’t judge them.
Our primary criteria are kid appeal and literary merit. We’re looking for those books which best combine both.
There is no submission fee, but we do ask that you provide review copies (print or digital) for the judges.
- Read the submission guidelines and download the submission spreadsheet here.
