Jennifer is excited to be chairing the newly revised Nonfiction
Elementary/Middle- Grade category in her second year as a category chair. She has now been a Cybils panelist for four years and is continuing her plans to take over the book world one non-fiction title at a time. When not obsessively reading and reviewing for her two blogs, Jean Little
Library, and Flying Off My Bookshelf, she is the youth services librarian for the mid-sized public library in Elkhorn, WI. She runs a third blog, In Short, I Am Busy, detailing all the drama of library programs and is pleased to announce that there will be a Mad Scientists Club at the library this fall! She has always enjoyed nonfiction for children but became especially interested in titles for
elementary and preschool children several years ago when she was restructuring the children’ s programming and now includes nonfiction in as many programs as possible, from early literacy storytimes to after school art programs. Jennifer sees nonfiction as an integral part of her personal mission to introduce children to the amazing world around them and foster and sense of wonder and delight.
