We featured a review by Easy Readers and Early Chapter Books Round I judge Jeff Barger reeeallly early on in this year's Cybils, but in case you've forgotten, Jeff is a kindergarten teacher in North Carolina who blogs in order to help fellow teachers find quality resources they can use in their classrooms, from math and science to reading and writing materials. He blogs at NC Teacher Stuff.
One of his reviews this past fall looked at Cybils finalist Princess Posey and the First Grade Parade, written by Stephanie Greene and illustrated by Stephanie Roth Sisson. It's the first title in a series about a very nervous little girl about to start the first grade. In his review, Jeff says:
Posey is a delightful character who reminds me of students that I work with each day and one in particular that lives in my house. Like Posey, they're sweet kids who have some fears and need some help in navigating this thing we call school.
