Dawn Mooney is a Round I judge on our Fiction Picture Books panel this year, as well as a blogger on 5 Minutes for Books, a community of people who love books, reading, and sharing their reviews and opinions on literature for readers of all ages. Dawn is also a stay-at-home mom and former preschool teacher, so the FPB panel is a perfect fit.
Earlier this year, as part of the 5 Minutes for Books Fall Festival of Children's Books, Dawn reviewed Fiction Picture Books nominee Who Said Coo?, written by Deborah Ruddell and illustrated by Robin Luebs. This story follows the tribulations of a tired pig named Lulu. In her review, Dawn says:
Who Said Coo? is ideal to be read aloud to young children before bed, making it a lovely book to join any home library.
