A couple of months ago, Carol posted a review of Cybils Non-Fiction Picture Books finalist (get ready for a lengthy title!) Mermaid Queen: The Spectacular True Story Of Annette Kellerman, Who Swam Her Way To Fame, Fortune & Swimsuit History!, written by Shana Corey and illustrated by Edwin Fotheringham. This is the story of the Australian woman who invented water ballet and the modern woman's swimsuit. Carol describes the book as "A splashy, joyful, strong, fun picture book that I can't wait to share with the strong girls and women in my life."
